This opportunity is with our Physician Detailing Division, which has partnered with a growing pharmaceutical company in Canada. Although this position will begin as a contract through PEAK, the client desires to hire the winning candidate permanently following initial term with PEAK.
PEAK Pharma Solutions Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented professional for the role of Regional Account Executive to support a sales/marketing program on behalf of a growing pharmaceutical organization in Canada. In this role, you'll work to promote this organization’s new prescription brand in the Women's Health environment. You'll be an integral part of developing a local presence on behalf of our client. Reporting to our client’s Commercial Lead, along with the PEAK sales director, the Regional Account Executive (RAE) will be part of a dynamic and innovative team, responsible for driving our client’s launch product sales in an assigned geography while also delivering support within an innovative sales and distribution channel across the country. Critical to their success will be the individuals’ drive to create a thriving business using strong analytical insights, clinical expertise, and a passionate approach to working with customers. A self-starter and autonomous worker, the RAE will demonstrate strong financial stewardship for the company while collaborating across the organization to assist in building the broader country plans.
The successful candidate will play a significant strategic role, engaging in high-level, cross-functional decision making with the Canadian Leadership team and other RAEs. The RAE will need to be passionate about supporting women’s sexual health and exploring innovative approaches to Canadian Healthcare.
Primary Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Strategic Account planning
Identify target clinicians and opportunities and help build influence maps
Build comprehensive customer plans including partnership mapping, territory objective setting and concrete tactics/action steps
Organize, maintain and monitor territory through account management tools and customer profile records via CRM
Achieve territory sales targets by developing, adapting and implementing business plans in alignment with corporate objectives
Regional KOL Relationship building and education
Collaborate with all members of the team to identify and develop a stable of KOLs and advocates passionate about women’s sexual health
Initiate and implement education sessions in family health groups across the country
Collaborate with nurses, Ob/Gyns and Therapists to support the launch product’s opportunity
Territory Sales: physicians/pharmacy target refinement
Refine target lists and influence networks from the bottom up
Create call plans and coordinate with appropriate Head Office supports
Be a perfectionist at providing timely and courteous customer follow up
Understand the role and partnership with Telehealth providers
Source and set up GP/Nurse education sessions with support from medical
On-going training (monthly webinars, ah-hoc training) in person across regionParticipation in regional/national conferences/seminars as appropriate
Collaboration/participation with regional ad board meetings as required
A great attitude, willingness to engage and experiment and a thirst for success
Minimum of 5 years account sales experience (Canadian life sciences/Pharmaceutical industry preferred)
Proven success in cross-functional collaboration and development of clinical programs/educational platforms
Strong business acumen including proven analytical and negotiation skills
Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment while creating innovative new paths to developing awareness of HSDD and driving launch product sales
MS Office; specifically, PowerPoint, Excel, CRM platforms
Ability to travel within designated region
